Role Overview
The Operations Support Lead at Sandys/Castleview community centre is a new role
designed to provide essential support to the Centre Manager in the daily operations,
program delivery, and administrative functions of the facility. This role helps ensure that the
community centre operates efficiently while meeting the diverse needs of community
members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Manager in overseeing daily operations and serve as acting manager when needed
- Coordinate facility scheduling, room bookings, and program calendars
- Assist in the supervision and training of staff members and volunteers
- Help manage program budgets and track financial transactions
- Implement and evaluate community programs and activities
- Build positive relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and accessibility standards
- Support fundraising initiatives (grant applications) and community outreach efforts
- Address visitor inquiries and resolve conflicts or complaints
- Monitor facility maintenance and coordinate with maintenance staff
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in community services, recreation, or facility operations
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Basic financial management and budgeting experience
- Proficient with office software and scheduling systems
- Understanding of community development principles

Hours and Benefits
- Part-time (temporary fixed term contract – 6 months) position (16 hours per week)

16 hours per week at £14.76 per hour
