1. Ownership of Website Intellectual Property
The following elements are the exclusive intellectual property of Sandy's Community Centre (the "Operator"):
1.1 Software and Code
- All source code, back-end scripts, database schema, and software architecture
- All front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- All security features and system functionality
1.2 Design and Visual Elements
- The overall layout, colour scheme, typography, and visual design
- All custom icons, buttons, and graphical user interface elements
- All website page designs and templates
1.3 Branding
- The name "Sandy's Community Centre" and any abbreviations thereof
- Any logo, wordmark, or brand symbol created for the centre
- Any tagline or slogan
1.4 Content Created by the Operator
- Any announcements, help text, or instructional content written by the centre
- Any default or fallback images
- Any example or demonstration data
2. What the Operator Does NOT Own
The following remain the property of their respective owners:
- User-uploaded content — any content submitted by users remains the property of the submitting party or the original copyright holder
- Third-party trademarks — any trademarks appearing on the Site remain the property of their respective owners
- Third-party software — any software used by the website (e.g., server operating system, database software) remains the property of their respective licensors
3. Permitted Use by the Public
You may, without seeking explicit permission:
- View the website and all publicly visible content
- Share links to pages via social media or email
- Download or print content for personal, non-commercial use
4. Prohibited Use (Requires Written Permission)
You may not do any of the following without express written permission from Sandy's Community Centre:
- Copy, scrape, crawl, or reproduce any significant portion of the website's content or code (automated or manual)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the website's software
- Republish any content on another website or platform (sharing links is fine; republishing content is not)
- Use the centre's name or logo to imply false endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship
- Frame or embed the website within another website
- Sell access to the website or any of its data
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the website's design or code
5. Copyright Infringement Reporting
If you believe that any content on this website infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us with the following information:
- Your name, organisation, and contact information
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
- The exact URL or description of where the infringing content appears
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will investigate and, if appropriate, remove the allegedly infringing content promptly.
6. Enforcement
Unauthorised use of the Operator's intellectual property may result in:
- Legal action to recover damages and legal costs
- Immediate termination of user accounts
- Reporting to relevant authorities for cyber-related offences under the Computer Misuse Act 1990
