A Chat with Charlie Doyle

Episode

Step back in time with us as we sit down with Mr. Charlie Doyle, who first walked through the doors of Sandy's as a young lad of about 10 in the early 1950s. From winning a boxing medal at 12 in 1954, presented by a Hibs legend, to camping trips by the River Tweed, five-a-side football in the main hall, and even a fancy dress mishap that left him "caught white-handed," Charlie shares the kind of memories that remind us why Sandy's was never just a club. It was a meeting place, a stepping stone, and a second home. Whether you grew up around Craigmillar, love local history, or just want to hear what community really used to mean, this episode is for you.
